MAIL ORDER JO MORTON'S CLUB

We are offering a mail order Jo's Club for people who are not able to attend our monthly club. Here are the rules: You must buy 25 fat quarters of Jo's fabric ($2.50 each plus shipping) and pay the $30 fee for a six month session. The fat quarters and fee must be paid up front to join the club. We accept all major credit cards/ATM's and checks/money orders.

Each month you will receive a new pattern from her collection with a color copy of the quilt for that month. If you need additional fabric for borders, etc., choose from our new on-line Jo's club section which will be available in November. Look for Jo's specials on-line as well and we will have other club tools, books and notions recommended by Jo on-line as well. We'll also have assorted fat quarter towers and special collections such as the complete line of "Toast" which is available now for $35. (This gives you two free fat quarters.)

Our first Little Women's Club quilt will be "Cheddar & Chocolates".
This quilt will be available through November 30th and a new quilt will be available the 1st of December.

Jo's Little Women
Our club is now 9 months old and the projects made by the members are great. In fact some of the projects have been expanded from the original pattern - which is always a good thing. And each months new pattern offers new opportunities for creativity.
We spend part of each meeting sharing the projects from previous meetings and I have been trying to bring in some history of quiltmaking. We are exploring the production of our wonderful fabrics and beginning to learn more about quilts from the 1800s. Our projects are made from Andover Fabrics which have been designed by Jo Morton and the little quilts are designed by Jo Morton. There is no upper limit to the membership so why not plan to check us out.

Particulars: We meet the 1st Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. New members are always welcome. Call or stop into the shop to register. Cost is $5 per meeting - pay 3 months at a time.

Club Outline:
Members purchase 10 Fat Quarters of Jo's fabric from Sew Many Quilts and purchase the additional fabric for setting, borders, backing and binding when needed. Members will make new stitching friends and enjoy the process of making small quilts. Making small quilts will help you perfect your quilting skills, small quilts need more accuracy, the bonus - your big quilts will be a breeze! Your stitching group will have a great sense of accomplishment as you will be getting projects done! One more thing - there is a new Yahoo Group - 'Jo Morton Stitchers', it is hosted by her friend Julie Kiffin. A place to chat about 'Jo's Little Women' Club, Jo's fabric lines by Andover Fabrics or any of the other quilts that Jo has designed! What a great way to make new friends.

DREAM GREEN BATTING:  Other battings may talk about being made from renewable materials, but none can boast about being truly eco-friendly until now...

"Dream Green is a soft, cozy batting made 100% from recycled plastic bottles! Your needles will glide through this unique eco-friendly batting. Each pound of
Dream Green Batting keeps 10 plastic bottles out of our landfills. Plastic bottles are cut into chips, washed, melted and extruded into fine polyester fibers. These recycled fibers are indistinguishable from “virgin” polyester fibers yet are made without depleting our precious natural resources. "

"Dream Green has been carded, crosslapped and needlepunched for uniformity, strength, and resiliency. There is no scrim or resins yet you can stitch up to 12” apart! It's machine washable with little to no shrinkage."

Each package lists the number of bottles used to make it. How cool is that? And on top of it - it's cheaper than regular poly or cotton! How can you beat that?
