Club Outline: Members purchase 10 Fat Quarters of Jo's fabric from Sew Many Quilts and purchase the additional fabric for setting, borders, backing and binding when needed. Members will make new stitching friends and enjoy the process of making small quilts. Making small quilts will help you perfect your quilting skills, small quilts need more accuracy, the bonus - your big quilts will be a breeze! Your stitching group will have a great sense of accomplishment as you will be getting projects done! One more thing - there is a new Yahoo Group - 'Jo Morton Stitchers', it is hosted by her friend Julie Kiffin. A place to chat about 'Jo's Little Women' Club, Jo's fabric lines by Andover Fabrics or any of the other quilts that Jo has designed! What a great way to make new friends. |
![]() DREAM GREEN BATTING: Other battings may talk about being made from renewable materials, but none can boast about being truly eco-friendly until now... "Dream Green is a soft, cozy batting made 100% from recycled plastic bottles! Your needles will glide through this unique eco-friendly batting. Each pound of Dream Green Batting keeps 10 plastic bottles out of our landfills. Plastic bottles are cut into chips, washed, melted and extruded into fine polyester fibers. These recycled fibers are indistinguishable from “virgin” polyester fibers yet are made without depleting our precious natural resources. " "Dream Green has been carded, crosslapped and needlepunched for uniformity, strength, and resiliency. There is no scrim or resins yet you can stitch up to 12” apart! It's machine washable with little to no shrinkage." Each package lists the number of bottles used to make it. How cool is that? And on top of it - it's cheaper than regular poly or cotton! How can you beat that? Cheaper and Greener! Learn more about their products at http://quiltersdreambatting.com/dream-green.htm
